Engineering and construction company Technip has won a contract from Noble Energy for the development of a flexible pipe system in the Aseng Field in offshore Equatorial Guinea.
Technip will be carrying out engineering, supply installation work and precommissioning of the 30km flexible pipe system.
The work will also include six flexible risers, flexible flowlines and jumpers and cover installation of the subsea production system, including manifolds, flying leads and umbilicals.
Mid 2011 has been set as the date for offshore installation, with the companys deepwater construction vessel Deep Pioneer being used to carry out the work.
The first production of oil is estimated to begin by midway through the following year at a rate of 50,000 bbl/d of oil.
Technips operating centre in Paris will execute the contract and all flexible pipes will be fabricated at the groups plant in Le Trait, France.
