Technip is one of the companies that have been awarded a contract to work on an upcoming liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, in oil and gas recruitment news.
Chevron signed agreements with the firm, as well as Intecsea, for its proposed $17 million Wheatstone LNG initiative in Australia.
The early engineering upstream contracts will see the latter perform frontend engineering and design work offshore.
Meanwhile, Technip has been brought on board to design the production platform.
According to reports, the upstream scope includes subsea gas collection for the Wheatstone and Iago fields and a 200kilometre pipeline, which will connect the platform to the downstream gas plant.
A statement from Chevron said: "The awarding of the contracts is another step towards finalising the scope of the Wheatstone project, which recently welcomed Apache and KUFPEC as 25 per cent equity participants in the foundation project facilities."
Technip was recently contracted to conduct work on Abu Dhabi Gas Industries ASAB 3 Project, which could provide oil and gas recruitment opportunities in the emirate.
