ConocoPhillips released its third quarter results recently, which could be promising for oil and gas recruitment at the firm.
From September 2008 to the same month this year, exploration and production has increased by almost 100,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, which represents a rise of five per cent.
Yeartodate production stood at 1.86 million barrels of oil equivalent every day, compared with 1.76 million barrels in the same period last year.
This was cited as a result of a number of project developments in several countries, including the UK, Russia, China and Norway.
Jim Mulva, chair and chief executive officer of the firm, commented: "We operated very well during the third quarter, with E&P production and R&M refinery utilisation rates higher than a year ago."
Earlier this year, the company released its second quarter earnings, which amounted to $1.3 billion (£786 million).
