A gas pipeline will be built in Soci, Russian Federation, by the Oil Services Group (GSP) from the beginning of January next year.
The submerged pipeline will be used for the transport of natural gas on the Russian Black Sea side.
Romanian company GSP will be using over a thousand specialists in the assembly and mounting works and when completed the project will also create oil and gas recruitment opportunities.
The contract exceeded $250 million (£153 million), GSP SRL general manager Fanel Hahui told Financiarul.
A 150 km long, 20 inch pipeline will be mounted and installed on the bottom of the sea to transport natural gas between Dzhumda and Soci to Krasnodar Region. It will also be transported from the TransSiberian pipeline terminal
The deadline for the construction of the pipeline is set as midJune 2010. The process will involve two platforms for mounting the pipes and supply ships.
