Technip has announced it has been awarded a contract for work in Abu Dhabi, which could provide oil and gas recruitment opportunities in the emirate.
According to the firm, in the agreement worth $415 million (£248 million), it will undertake restoration works on Abu Dhabi Gas Industries ASAB 3 Project, which could provide onshore vacancies.
The aim of the revamp initiative is to ensure that the facility can accommodate the production of 150 million cubic feet per day of additional associated gas.
Oil will be provided by the Asab, Shah and Sahil fields.
Among the projects to be executed by Technip is diverting feed flow from ASAB 0 to ASAB I and II by installing a new compressor and transfer pipelines.
The work will be carried out by the firms operating centre in Abu Dhabi, with the first phase expected to be completed during the third quarter of 2012, and the second ending in 2013.
Meanwhile, Technip also announced recently that it is to join forces with Schlumberger in order to develop deepwater pipeline solutions that could provide oil and gas recruitment.
