Oil and gas recruitment opportunities in Blue Stream pipeline inspection

DOF Subsea Norway has been awarded a contract for the inspection of Blue Stream pipelines, in emerging oil and gas recruitment news.

The Bergenbased firm has been commissioned to conduct two external pipeline inspection campaigns in the conduits located in the Black Sea.

During the first quarter of 2010, the first stage of the project will begin and is expected to last between one and two months.

Meanwhile, the second phase is set for completion in 2012.

Commenting on the contract, DOF Subsea Norway general manager Duncan MacPherson welcomed the opportunity.

He said: "This is a strategic win for our team and allows us to demonstrate our project delivery capability to a new client on an exciting project in a challenging geographic location."

The work will be carried out onboard the Geosund vessel and use Ultra Heavy Duty Schilling work ROV.

In related news, the firm recently won a calloff contract with StatoilHydro in order to provide construction support onboard Skandi Bergen in the Morvin field, including engineering, mobilisation and installation procedures.
