China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) announced the launch of six conduit projects between September 25th and 28th, according to Xinhua Economic News.
It is thought the projects will enhance the economic development of the regions in which they are constructed, which could potentially include onshore vacancies.
Two of the crude pipelines, running from HuianpuYichuan and ShikongLanzhon are located in Gansu and Ningxia respectively, the former set to be 142 kilometres (km) and the latter 33 km, with a transmission capacity of five million tonnes.
In addition, the Shangdong natural gas pipeline project, which is expected to stretch 1,024 km and transport 11 billion cubic metres of the substance, has begun as a result of a joint investment by the CNPC and the Shandong government.
PetroChina recently initiated a new pipeline scheme as part of the second phase of its WesttoEast project, connecting its Dushanzi facility and the Urumqi grid.
