UK subsea oil and gas recruitment resources are to be promoted at a seminar during the Offshore Europe conference, a source reveals. Oil Voice reports that Subsea UK will be teaching a delegation of 70 people about the skills and experience of the countrys subsea sector. Alistair Birnie, chief executive of the organisation, claims that influential delegates will be in attendance, which could lead to new oil and gas recruitment opportunities. He states: "Subsea will remain the most buoyant marketplace … of the next five years, so ensuring that the emerging markets know that they can turn to the UK for worldleading expertise is absolutely vital." Mr Birnie tells the news provider that delegates will include the energy minister of Ghana, national oil companies and independent operators, which could lead these organisations to use UK oil and gas recruitment for their projects. Earlier this year, UK Trade and Investment claimed that the UK has a worldclass subsea workforce capable of delivering these solutions worldwide.
