Oil and gas recruitment: Second stage of pipeline completed

Construction of the second stage of a 139kilometre pipeline has been completed, those looking at oil and gas recruitment may be interested to discover.

OAO Gazprom has reached the milestone on the MinskVilniusKaunasKaliningrad pipeline project, the Oil and Gas Journal reports.

Valery Golubev, deputy chief executive at the firm, highlights the companys commitment to supplying 2.5 billion cubic metres of gas to Kaliningrad by 2010.

He states: "The new gas pipeline will also increase the reliability of gas supplies to Lithuania, open up new prospects for more intensive development of gasdistribution networks in the republic and increase gas deliveries to Lithuanian consumers."

Kietuvos Dujos head Viktoras Valentukevicius has highlighted the pipelines importance to the region, as it will provide the country with energy security, those looking at oil and gas recruitment may be interested to discover.
