Subsea 7 has announced the completion of offshore trials for Subsea Grouted Tee, which enables intervention activities to take place on underwater pipelines at both high and low pressures. John Mair, global technology manager for Subsea 7, claims that this is the culmination of three years of work.
He states: "The successful completion of the offshore tests further demonstrated the benefit and quality of mixing the grout on the seabed as opposed to pumping from the surface." Mr Mair adds that these tests provide additional evidence that deepwater and diverless applications exist for this technology, those looking at oil and gas recruitment may be interested to discover. In other news, Oil Voice has reported that Subsea UK will be attending the Offshore Europe conference to educate delegates about the benefits of UK recruitment resources.
