Three sale and purchase agreements have been signed for a share of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Gorgon project, those looking at oil and gas recruitment in the region may be interested to discover. It will supply GS Caltex, Osaka Gas and Tokyo Gas, who have signed the binding, longterm contracts. Jim Blackwell, president of the Chevron Asia Pacific Exploration and Production Company, asserts that this is a successful step towards the commercialisation of the project, those looking at oil and gas recruitment may be interested to discover. John Gass, president of Chevron Global Gas, claims that this GS Caltexs "first expansion from refining, petrochemicals and power into LNG". In other news, federal environment minister Peter Garrett has given approval for an extension to the Gorgon Project, emphasising the oil and gas recruitment opportunities it will create. Chevron Australias Roy Krzywosinski claims that 10,000 direct and indirect jobs will be created in the country.
