A listed exploration and production company has acquired a 40 per cent stake in the Kinsale Head Area gas fields, those looking at oil and gas recruitment may be interested to discover. Providence Resources whollyowned subsidiary EIRGAS has exercised its option to make the purchase, which will increase the companys attributable daily production. Tony OReilly, chief executive of Providence, claims that this will enable the firm to build on its experience in gas production, storage and trading, which could interest those looking at oil and gas recruitment. He states that the firms gas production will double to reach 4,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Mr OReilly claims: "The deal also provides EIRGAS with an opportunity to potentially monetise gas from some of Providences adjacent gas discoveries in the Celtic Sea, as well as from third party fields." In other news, NATS and Oil and Gas UK have announced the extension of landbased radar to include offshore flights, which could boost safety for those oil and gas recruitment.
