Permission has been granted for Enbridge Energy to construct the Alberta Clipper pipeline, which could lead to new opportunities for those looking at oil and gas recruitment. The US State Department has issued a presidential permit to the company following consultations with relevant parties and stakeholders. It concluded that a number of strategic advantages will be created by the pipeline between Canada and the US. "Approval of the permit sends a positive economic signal, in a difficult economic period, about the future reliability and availability of a portion of United States energy imports," the departments statement asserts. Among the key benefits supplied by the project will be the creation of new jobs, it says, which could interest those looking at oil and gas recruitment. In other news, Kuwait Petroleum Corp and China Petroleum and Chemical have agreed to work together on a project at Donghai Island scheduled for 2013, which could create opportunities for oil and gas recruitment in the country.
